About this event
Join us for a brand new hands-on workshop all about the concept of Mechanical Engineering with Samay, a student instructor at New England Sci-Tech. This workshop is best for 4th to 8th grade students (or older novices).
These three workshops build on each other and introduce concepts of mechanical engineering through fun demonstrations and hands-on building. Throughout these workshops, students will learn about the main ideas of movement with gears and even motors. Linear actuators and 2D movement with gears will be the focus of all the workshops with each workshop introducing new information and fun concepts. By the end, students will be able to apply these concepts to other builds and their battlin'bots.
Class size is limited to 8 students. Students should expect to work in pairs for some activities.
The workshops are intended to be experienced together, but it is OK to attend any separately.
